Some of the best mini sofubi are coming from Japanese toy manufacturer, "U.S. Toys" (wrap your head around THAT). They produce mostly Toho and Tsuburaya characters. I know, I know....even more tinted clear with tinsel toys. What can I say....I have an addiction. They're just so darn cute. Have you ever seen Booska look quite this tasty?

Marusan clear Gojira
Hey look.......it's my 2nd post in 4 months. It's about time I post up some nonsense. How about a review of a recent purchase? I'd been waiting a few months for this bad boy, and it was worth it. Clear Goji with blue highlights and tinsel on the inside. All the makings of a tasty toy. Clear sofubi is all the rage these days, in this little niche hobby, but it still looks best on a Goji.

Welcome to The ソフビ Lounge....
Why "Sofubi Lounge" and what the hell is "sofubi" (ソフビ), anyways? "Sofubi" is the romanized Japanese term for ソフビ, or "soft vinyl". It's the phrase commonly used to describe the vinyl Japanese toys (generally Godilla, Ultraman, and other Japanese TV/Movie characters) dating back to the 1960's, and because I'm a big stinkin' nerd who collects said toys, this blog has been christened "Sofubi Lounge". It won't ALWAYS be about toys, but it will most certainly be geeky.
